Pro costs €13 per month and includes everything in Free plus unlimited words, AI Edits, unlimited vocabulary and snippets, confidentiality mode, a global shortcut, sync across devices and personal support. We tried the big dictation tools: great apps, but they made too many mistakes in German, and the features we needed every day were missing. So we built WhispaWave ourselves.

WhispaWave works really well in German, runs on servers in the EU and has a fair, transparent price: Free to try it out, Pro for €13 a month. No detour through any US cloud.

  • What does the subscription cost after the 14 days?
    Pro costs €13 per month, or €120 on the annual plan. After the first year your subscription continues monthly at the regular monthly price – cancel anytime. The Pro trial runs without a payment method and never converts into a subscription automatically.
  • Do I need a credit card for the trial?
    No. The Pro trial runs without a payment method. Only when you want to keep using it afterwards do you add a payment method — you'll see which ones are available at checkout. The Team trial does require a payment method; after the trial the Team subscription starts automatically — we remind you by email beforehand, and you can cancel up to the last day.
  • Can I get my money back?
    As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the contract is concluded — details and a model form at /widerruf. After that, you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the paid period; you keep full access until then.
  • Is there a plan for teams?
    Yes. Team is self-service, billed per seat, and every seat costs the same as Pro: €13 per seat per month, or €120 per seat on the annual plan. After the first year your subscription continues monthly at the regular monthly price – cancel anytime. You add seats right in the app, get one consolidated invoice instead of many receipts, and a DPA for data processing.
  • Can I switch between Free and Pro monthly?
    Yes. You cancel Pro, the subscription runs until the end of the paid month, then you're back on Free with the weekly free allowance. Reactivating takes 30 seconds in your account.
  • Do I get a VAT invoice (for freelancers)?
    Yes, automatically after each payment as a PDF. Add your tax number in your account. The invoice comes from WhispaWave and is VAT-ready for DE / AT / CH / EU.
  • What is conversation mode and what does it cost?
    Conversation mode captures meetings with speaker separation and turns them into clean summaries. A base allowance is included in every plan; if you need more conversation hours, you switch to Pro+ (€25 per month) or, on Team, to Team+ (€25 per seat per month).

You've seen the plans. Here an example day plays out, dictation by dictation. The account keeps a live count: first the time, then the same total in euros, at example hourly rates.

On an example day: 58 dictations across Gmail, WhatsApp, Word, Slack & co. 1 hr 47 min saved in total. 58 small moments add up to an earlier finish.

And in euros, calculated to the cent from the example day: Tax advisor (€180/hr, Assumption): 321,00 €, Management consultant (€250/hr, Assumption): 445,83 €, Physician (€200/hr, Assumption): 356,67 €, Attorney (€220/hr, Assumption): 392,33 €, Master craftsman (€85/hr, Assumption): 151,58 €, Freelance designer (€95/hr, Assumption): 169,42 €, Minimum wage (DE) (€13.90/hr, Statutory): 24,79 €.

Example hourly rates are assumptions for illustration, a projection, not a guarantee: what you save depends on your day, your pace and your rate. The only hard number: the German statutory minimum wage of €13.90/hr (as of 01/2026, source: German Federal Government).
