Windows app
Dictation in every app — the Windows version is built in parallel with the Mac app and launches next.
iOS app
Dictation on your iPhone: via the Action Button or the custom keyboard.

Dictation on your Android phone.
AI edits
Cleans up filler words, slips and syntax while you dictate: built for German, not translated from English.
Filler words removed (uh, like, sort of) · Commas, capitalization, sentence boundaries
Personal vocabulary
Up to 5,000 entries per account. Client names, technical terms and brands get spelled right the first time.

Snippets
Say "signature", get your full email signature. Works in any app, no plugin required.
Style modes
Four modes: informal, formal, prompt format and Slack format. WhispaWave auto-detects which app you're dictating into.

Offline mode
Dictate without internet, running directly on your Mac: for trips, trains, airports. A power-user feature, not meant for everyone.

Architecture's defined, but we haven't started building. The order is intentional: we'd rather build each item right than ship it half-done. Deliberately without a time window.

Polishing more languages
WhispaWave already understands these languages. This is about focused quality polish. German optimization stays our focus, but DACH pros often work multilingual.

Web app
For ChromeOS, Linux or devices where a native app isn't possible. Technically feasible, but the latency trade-off isn't trivial.
Workflow automation
Voice triggers for shortcuts, Raycast integration, Zapier and Make webhooks. We're listening for use cases: tell us what you need.
Public API
For power users and developers. Endpoints exist internally; public release is gated on a clean auth flow.
How a wish becomes an entry.
A user dictates a feature wish: snippets and style modes should be available on their second machine too. The wish condenses into a roadmap card "Cross-device sync" and receives the status "In development". Illustrative example: the feature really is in development.
How we decide.
We're a small team out of Dortmund. Every hour we spend on feature X is an hour not spent on feature Y. Three rules help us say no.
01Language first
German first, the rest follows.
We're not building generic voice-to-text with German as a locale toggle. German grammar, compounds and technical terms are the starting point of every design decision.
02No feature bloat
Few features, done well.
We turn down most feature requests. What makes the roadmap has a clear use case and integrates without new setup steps.
03Ship, then polish
Honestly early beats secretly perfect.
We release when features are stable, not when they're perfect. Polish iterations land on a weekly cadence, not a quarterly one.
